OMAD (23:1)
One Meal A Day
OMAD pushes daily time-restricted eating to its biological limit. With 23 hours of fasting, attention shifts to consuming sufficient calories, vitamins, and protein in a single sit-down meal.

Your Calculated Schedule Blueprint
OMAD (23:1) • 23:1 Time-Restricted Protocol
Nutrients from the preceding meal are digested and absorbed, during which circulating glucose and insulin naturally respond.
As nutrient absorption completes, insulin levels generally trend toward baseline, and stored glycogen is gradually utilized.
As liver glycogen gradually depletes, the body typically increases reliance on fatty acids for resting energy needs.
Extended nutrient pauses are associated in scientific models with cellular maintenance signals (including AMPK and mTOR pathways).
How the OMAD (23:1) Works in Practice
Under the 23:1 protocol, each 24-hour cycle is segmented into a continuous 23-hour fasting period followed by an 1-hour feeding window. Fasting begins the moment your final evening meal concludes.
